## Project overview

Six HVLS ceiling fans installed on a steel-truss roof — delivered and commissioned as one turnkey package.

## The challenge

A large steel-structure plant needed cooling across several bays without interrupting production for installation. The client wanted one contractor responsible for design, supply, rigging and commissioning.

## Our solution

We verified the truss load capacity from drawings, supplied six HVLS fans with engineered drop-rods, and installed them bay-by-bay during planned production breaks. Commissioning and operator handover were completed in one visit.

## Equipment

- Six HVLS units · turnkey delivery- Factory-direct supply with export documentation- Professional rigging and commissioning by the TierCooling team

## Results

A single turnkey contract covering design to commissioning, no unplanned production stoppages, and even cooling across all six bays from day one.

## FAQ

### Why use six HVLS units instead of one larger fan?

Multiple units spread airflow evenly across separate bays and work zones, avoiding the dead spots and over-blast zones a single unit can leave in a large or L-shaped plant.

### How are fans mounted on steel-structure plants?

Brackets fix directly to roof steelwork after a load check, with anti-vibration fittings and safety cables. No dedicated columns are needed.

### Can the six units be controlled separately?

Yes. Zoned control runs units by production area and shift, so airflow follows where people and heat loads actually are.

### What payback do plants typically see?

Savings come from replacing grids of small fans and raising cooling setpoints; payback depends on local energy rates and running hours, so suppliers model it per site during proposal.
