# Rundongfang Design and Construction Team Goes Deep into the Mountains: An Innovative Application of Evaporative Air Coolers in a Tea Factory!

A tea factory is located near a village in a town in Xianfeng County, Enshi, Hubei Province, backed by mountains and facing a lake. Blessed with exceptional natural conditions, the region has nurtured its own unique local customs and tea culture. However, the workshop where tea leaves are processed and roasted is relatively stuffy and humid, and the tea roasting workers are often drenched in sweat, which affects both production efficiency and the quality of the tea.

The owner of the company found us, Rundongfang, online. After a period of communication, he strongly agreed with our product (evaporative air coolers) and our proposed solution. Based on the actual conditions, the Rundongfang design team created a plan featuring 108 RDF18A evaporative air coolers plus 30 negative-pressure exhaust fans to solve the ventilation and cooling problems of the production workshop covering approximately 2,000 square meters.

Sparing no effort, the Rundongfang design and construction team traveled more than 700 kilometers to the customer’s site in Xianfeng County, Enshi, to carry out the installation. During on-site construction, since the customer’s plant has a production workshop on the first floor and a finished-product warehouse on the second floor, the customer raised a new requirement, suggesting that the two floors be operated separately to save costs: when production is running, the evaporative air coolers on the first floor would be turned on, while the second floor would remain off; when the finished-product warehouse on the second floor needs cooling, those units would be switched on and the first-floor units turned off. This rather challenging design did not stump our design and construction team. After careful thought and design, overcoming various difficulties, and dozens of days of construction, they created an industry-first extended straight-blow curved-duct design and completed the installation task with distinction! After installation, the evaporative air coolers continuously deliver fresh, cool air into the workshop. The customer accepted the work with satisfaction—good environments produce good tea! The customer also warmly invited the team to stay and taste the tea.
