# What Should You Pay Attention to When Maintaining Energy-Saving Air Conditioners in Winter?

After the start of winter, temperatures have plunged, and the arrival of the Xiaoxue (Light Snow) solar term brings cold waves, with the weather getting colder day by day. As winter sets in, we will soon face rain and snow. During this period, many customers have stopped using their energy-saving air conditioners. To ensure better performance next year, the equipment needs the following simple maintenance. So how should energy-saving air conditioners be maintained in winter, and what precautions should be taken? 1. Disconnect the power supply of the equipment and check whether the wiring is loose or aged;
2. Open the electrical box inside the equipment and check whether any components inside are damaged;
3. Drain the water from the outdoor unit’s water tank and from the pipelines connecting the indoor and outdoor units to prevent the pipes from cracking due to freezing; (Note: install a tee fitting with a switch ball valve at the lowest point of the water pipe);

4. Clean the filter of the indoor unit thoroughly; (Note: when cleaning, remove the filter, remove dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner, then gently rinse with clean water, air-dry, and reinstall)
5. Clean the evaporator of the indoor unit thoroughly; (Note: when cleaning the evaporator, remove the fan blades and wrap the motor properly to prevent water ingress during cleaning)
6. After cleaning the surface of the indoor unit, wrap it with stretch film or a custom dust cover to prevent dust;

7. Clean the bottom of the outdoor unit’s water tank thoroughly;
8. Remove the cooling pads of the outdoor unit and rinse them clean;
9. Close the water inlet valve and open the drain valve. When using the unit again next year, open the inlet valve and close the drain valve;
10. After cleaning the surface of the outdoor unit, wrap it with stretch film or a custom dust cover to prevent dust;
