Are There Building Height Requirements for Installing Industrial Ceiling Fans? What Installation Conditions Should Be Noted?

We often hear from many customers who are interested in industrial fans. Many people ask how much building height is needed to install an industrial ceiling fan. First, we ask customers about the height of their factory workshops and other high-ceiling indoor buildings (floor-to-ceiling height). Installing a large industrial fan generally requires a building height of at least 4 meters. So, what are the installation conditions and precautions for industrial fans? Installation conditions for Rundongfang permanent magnet servo direct-drive large industrial fans:
1. The net height of the building should be at least 4m, and the spacing between structural load-bearing columns should be more than 20% greater than the diameter of the fan to be installed;
2. The roof structure should allow a load capacity of over 150kg, while the total equipment weight of the fan is approximately 125kg (including installation accessories and dynamic loads);
3. The effective coverage area of a single fan has a diameter of 30~40m per unit, with adjacent fans spaced 30~40m apart;
4. The optimal installation height of the fan is a distance of 6~8m from the fan blades to the ground, and at minimum no less than 4m;
5. The distance between the control box installation location and the fan installation location should ideally be less than 30m;
6. Ensure that there are no chandeliers or other fixtures at the fan installation location;
7. Not suitable for places with long-term heat generation or oil smoke.

Precautions before using Rundongfang large industrial fans:
1. Industrial fans are installed using the steel hooks in the precast ceiling panels. If there are no steel bars in the ceiling, lifting should be done with steel bars approximately 8mm in diameter. Never try to save effort by hanging with multiple strands of twisted iron wire—this is very dangerous.
2. The rubber wheels on the fan are used for shock absorption and must not be removed.
3. Do not throw any objects under the fan; do not jump under the fan—users with lower ceilings should pay extra attention.
4. Take special care never to lift infants beneath a rotating large industrial ceiling fan. Prevent the human body and other objects from coming into contact with the rotating fan to avoid mechanical injury.
